It’s (not really…) Christmas time in the city

I miss Christmas.
Shanghai has a few little Christmas decorations here and there, especially in the huge and luxurious IFC shopping mall, but decorations, I am finding, just don’t cut it when it comes to “feeling” Christmas.

Something that has helped create a feeling of holiday cheer, however, is a friendly face from home. Yesterday afternoon Drew and I boarded the famous bullet train (the MagLev) and buzzed over to meet Seth Coogan at the airport. Seth is a friend from home who will be touring China with us for the next 10 days.
He is a friend from home who will celebrate Christmas with us. 🙂
Perhaps in Hangshou? Perhaps ins Yangzhuo? Perhaps some other tiny town with a youth hostel in it?
